On the gender spectrum

There has been a lot of confusion the past, oh..... 20 years... especially the past 10... in regards to the gender spectrum. There are a lot of labels for those who fall into it, and not all are accepting (even within the same community!).

This is an attempt to clarify some things.

First, the internet is abound with falsities. I see many "armchair generals" out there who say "this is what that means" and yet the next say "no, this is what that means".

Okay. Clarification here folks. From someone who has been around BEFORE the internet explosion. Someone who knows a bit. Not from what she has learned via the net, because even Wikipedia is full of falsities, lies and inaccuracies on many things.

So. First. Definitions. Yes, some may scream and shout at me for some, fine. Go for it. But remember, I've been there done that, ok?

Transsexual: Someone who was born into one sex but knows they are the other. Generally seeks genital reassignment surgery, but sometimes prefers not to. Lives full time in the sex they know they are.

Crossdresser/Transvestite: both are the SAME. Crossdresser was derived by taking the translation from latin of transvestite. A person who dresses as the opposite sex on a "part time" basis. May be for sexual reasons, often not for it. Trans = cross, vestite/vestis = clothing/dress. Transvestite = crossdresser. PC term crossdresser.

Gender Queer: someone who desires to present as someone neither male nor female specifically. Perhaps a "cross" between the two. They may feel as both "intermingled".

Gender Fluid: someone who needs to be both male and female, and will present as either as they need. They generally do not need SRS, They need to be fluid, go from one to the next as their need dictates.

Transgender: Adopted as an umbrella term for all above etc. Originally coined by a CD/TV as an insult to transsexuals, thus why many TS's do not want to be associated with that term (myself included). Mistakenly used as a seperate gender identity.

Just because someone is non-operative by need, does not make them any less "trans" than you. It is their NEED. Not yours. Your need is yours, theirs is theirs.

No one label is any better than the other. (ie a TS is no better than a "part timer CD". We're all in the spectrum)

Yes, GQ and GF deserve to be there. Think how you felt when excluded. Especially even today by much of the GLB community!!!!!

Why?

Why pay for access there?  Seriously?

First, half of what is posted is lame. Second, all of what is posted for what they charge for you can find for free by simple TGP searches.

He's ripping you off. Big time. Don't pay. Want to find the material that he charges? For free? Go google for the TGP (Thumbnail Gallery Post). Don't waste your money. Seriously.

About 99.9% of the stuff he charges members for, I have found FOR FREE that way. Red is ripping you off, big time. Why? Because if you pay him then that shows you have little to no knowledge on how to find it. He is taking advantage of you.

And the free stuff??? Totally lame. Why? Because again, can be found for free. Even what he censors.

You want to pay? Go to the makers. Don't waste your money on the likes of Reds Realm. This guy is taking your money and laughing his head off at you. And he's a bit uneducated on a lot as well, which is a strike against him - doesn't like T damsels too much.

The Stupid "TG" Label

I am SICK of the "TG" label. I am NOT "a transgender"!!!!

Why?

I will tell you why!

The term transgender was coined by a crossdresser (transvestite, same thing, translate the latin ffs...) as a slap in the face to those who are transsexual. In otherwords, it is an INSULT to trans.

I will also NOT participate in the "Transgender Day of Remembrance" until 1) it removes the TG label, 2) moves it so that it is NOT in the same time sphere as Remembrance Day (Memorial Day to Yanks) and 3) acknowledges Gender Queer and Gender Fluid.

I am NOT transgender.

I am almost anything BUT. Because TG is an INSULT!!!!

Drama within the BDSM "Community"

This silliness has to STOP. It helps no one. Period.

Of late there has been a crapload of drama, hate, slander, hearsay, etc etc etc, within the Montreal BDSM "community". I will NOT add to it. I will only say this:

STOP IT!!!! PLEASE!!!!

Those posting hearsay only hurt themselves. Those posting slander will only hurt themselves. Those feeding the drama will only hurt themselves the most.

This is all silly, stupid, childish, and not needed.

So please, please, PLEASE!!!!  STOP!!!!

Wow, that long since my last??? whoah....

Wow... didn't realize that it was so long between entries... sorry! It's not like there hasn't been things happening etc, au contraire! Been busy as a bee lol.

What has been keeping me busy? Well of course the ALCC! :P Don't be fooled by immitators (yes one has started up... ).

Personal wise... things have been up and down at times. Of course I was worried for my bestest friend (well technically wife but we really are just best friends now).... she's in London, UK, and when the riots happened I did NOT sleep at all worrying. But some good stuff happened too.

We had our Montreal Pride this month, and the ALCC was there. I helped at the booth on community day and as well marched in the parade. Mental note: latex female mask is NOT a good idea in that parade when hot.... it had to be removed halfway-ish lol. We had to sit and relax for a bit afterwards, in full gear too lol. The walk back to the car was... interesting! We still had our outfits on. Yep, lotsa looks :P

The Montreal Fetish Weekend is this weekend coming, and I will be at least attending the Latextacy Ball. Wanted to attend everything... but with clips not selling enough... had to settle for just Saturday. At least will be at the meet and greet and summat on Saturday during the day as well. Plus... my T-girl friend from Toronto is in and staying with me... we iz gonna haz fun! :D Lotsa bondage etc :D And she is soooooo damn adorable!!!

Well, will write something more of substance soon.... promise! Heck, maybe a review of the Fetish Weekend :D

Naked Bike Ride / Cyclo Nu Montreal

Wow, last Saturday I participated in the World Naked Bike Ride here in Montreal... and it's apparent I need to do more biking! :P Sore afterwards, but it was worth it.

It was to bring attention to society's reliance on fossil fuels, and to help push for alternatives. Worthy cause, and I for one would like to see electric and perhaps hydrogen driven cars pushed further and faster in research. And a better public transit.

We are killing our planet relying too much on fossil fuels. Yes, vehicles are needed, that is not to be denied, as well the fact that some simply cannot, for instance, bike. Or even take transit from where they live to where they work (which shows how poor some of the system is). But we do need to research better alternatives and do it faster.
